Louisville, KY – The Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies and US Fish and Wildlife Service have jointly approved the proposal for Multistate Conservation Grant funding for three more years of funding for the Management Assistance Team (MAT) to provide leadership development, workforce planning, and organizational development consulting services to state fish and wildlife agencies. MAT will also launch the Conservation Leadership Program of Study to make a comprehensive leadership development experience more accessible to state fish and wildlife agencies and personnel.
With this funding approval, MAT will continue to provide ongoing services to the community of state fish and wildlife agencies through online leadership courses, face-to-face workshops, direct consulting, and staffing the National Conservation Leadership Institute. Additionally, the Association Executive Committee approved implementation of the Conservation Leadership Program of Study. This program offers an end-to-end, knowledge-based leadership development program that would be widely available to employees of state fish and wildlife agencies in the US. MAT will post details on the Conservation Leadership Program of study to this website in early October. |
